As Frankfort and it's young athletes grow, so does our enthusiasm as parents to create organizations for them to flourish.
It is a place for our community to watch young woman of all ages compete in a friendly and instructional arena.
Frankfort Girls Softball was established in the spring of 1977 and thanks to the efforts of hundreds of volunteer coaches and board members over the years, many of our players have gone on to successful Travel, High School and Collegiate Teams.
Frankfort Girls Softball has been one of the fastest growing leagues in the area and on pace to break yet another record of participants again this year. In 2010 we created an alliance with neighboring towns, Mokena, Tinley Park Bulldogs and Bobcats, Orland Hills, and Monee, creating an opportunity for those towns to continue to compete as well as give the players of FGS a chance to travel to local venues to compete against other leagues.
We're proud of the girls in FGS. While the League provides a very important social outlet for our players, it also creates a sense of teamwork, athletic ability and competitive spirit. From TBall to 23U Level, our mission as a league is not only to teach the basic principles of Softball, but also to promote fair play, sportsmanship, pride and identity in our young women.
